I made it home, tossed on my riding clothes, and gave myself an attitude adjustment. I am so glad I did. By the time I got to the barn at 4:00 p.m., both horses greeted me happily and asked what we were going to do today.
I puttered around as Sydney worked on his dinner and then I saddled him up. As always, he was his usual charming self and was particularly gentlemanly as I mounted up.
We did our warm up, cantered both directions, and then I shortened the reins. He took a moment to think about it, and then he shrugged his shoulders and said, okay.
Be gone, Demon, be gone!
