Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
Sydney has an official United States Dressage Federation Horse Identification Number! Not that that really means anything. He's not eligible for USDF Horse of the Year or any other year end points programs, but this is the first step for showing him in a triple-rated show here in California. To get a USDF Horse ID fill out the online form here and be prepared to spend $25 for the ID, or $95 for a Lifetime Number which makes your horse eligible for year-end points. Before registering a horse, you'll also need to be a USDF member. Since I belong to California Dressage Society (CDS), I automatically am a Group Member of USDF. Check your local sanctioning body for group membership to USDF. Sydney also has his USEF Horse ID number. That one is free, but it does require you to register as a user with USEF. But since I hold my amateur status, I was already a registered user so it just took a few minutes to enter the necessary information. Sydney is now eligible to compete in triple-rated shows. The only one on my calendar is Dressage in the Valley, but I am not sure we'll make it. But if we do, both Speedy G and Sydney have the appropriate "credentials." Comments are closed.
