Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
If you have two X chromosomes, you probably carry a purse of some kind. Recently, mine grew into a bag almost large enough to tote around a dead body. At first, I thought it was ridiculous to have so much empty space hanging off my arm, but you know what happens. Little by little I had less empty space. I stopped by the pharmacy this week. When I placed my purse on the counter, it made quite the thunk. As I dug down through the debris, I heard a jingle sound that hadn't been there the day before. I reached in to grab my wallet and pulled out a hunk of metal instead. I had tossed it in my purse so that I could drop it off at the barn later that afternoon. I forgot to make the delivery though, so it spent the night next to my keys and wallet. It's completely normal to pack around a bit in your purse though, isn't it?
Fess up. What's in your purse?

I have the world's smallest purse. There's room for my (tiny) wallet, keys (all both of them), glasses, sunglasses, phone, and a few small toiletries like chapstick, eyedrops, and hand lotion. I had to cut down because carrying much weight on one shoulder or the other actually causes significant back pain. Now I can't imagine lugging around the QEII! 2/24/2017 06:47:49 am
I've always carried a smallish purse, but this one was a gift and I've discovered that I love the extra space. I keep the list of normal contents pretty low, much like yours, but I dig the space when needed. Sometimes I toss in my ipad or kindle, or like the other day, a bit. LOL

I have had a love/hate relationship with purses for years! I am very attracted to small and organized purses, so when I buy a really cute one and begin to fill it....I remember, I am not organized! So I buy a larger purse and before I know it's over-stuffed. Then comes the larger bag that becomes filled and heavy until it causes neck/shoulder pain....you get the idea! I am currently looking at an open style bag with one of those "organizer" inserts to put inside. I'm out of control!! 2/26/2017 05:29:53 am
I love open style bags. If it zips closed, forget it. I like to be able to just drop stuff in. fortunately, I don't get out of control. :0) 2/26/2017 05:30:43 am
I am with you ... I don't have time for lipstick, but dog treats? Why not?! LOL

No purse! I (and everyone I know) got tired of backtracking to find where I had forgotten it, again. If something is not in my pocket it will be forgotten, I promise. I shop for clothes based on pockets, and I wear the pockets out before any other part. 2/26/2017 05:32:45 am
That is too funny! My mom never carried a purse either. Keys and wallet are in her pockets too. I have actually shopped for clothes based on their pockets as well. When we travel internationally, I like a lot of pockets for snacks and even a bottle of water! Comments are closed.
