Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
But it's more than that. Today marks the beginning of Christmas Vacation. I don't go back to work until January 9th - two weeks of fun, relaxing, hanging with hubby, visits to the cabin, and more time for the ponies. Oh, and my forty-first birthday. How did I get so old when I still feel seventeen?
Sorry to disappoint, but there's nothing fancy or articulate about this post. Just thankfulness for some time away from the grind of work. The best part of the break is being able to get to the barn to ride and do my chores without the ever lurking darkness. Merry Christmas!

TWO weeks! Very lucky. I will still be happy with one, because as any teacher or administrator will tell you, I just need my time away. I wish that everyone got such a nice holiday off, but then again not everyone would choose this profession. Enjoy your break!

I think we had this discussion in August. Did you start school several weeks after we did? We start in the middle of August, but I think all schools in California get two weeks at Christmas and one week at Easter. Districts around the state vary at Thanksgiving. We get Thursday and Friday, but many districts take the whole week. Everyone in our state goes to school 180 days. Each district can mange it any way they wish.

Thanks, Judy! Sean took today off and he gets the next week and a half off as well. We should have lots of time to do stuff. Enjoy your break and Merry Christmas!

Birthday's not for another week, but thanks! I love my time off, that's for sure. I often wonder how people with "normal" jobs manage without the Christmas and sumer breaks. I work very hard during the school year, but at least I know I get a break!

Well then, happy birthday to you! Mine isn't for a week or so, but it always just runs into Christmas. My breaks always feel like one big party - Christmas, New Year's, and Birthday! Comments are closed.
