Sydney has settled in very well. I have had the pleasure of riding him several times while here at the barn, and he has done a fabulous job for me. He has a farrier appointment next week and a vet appointment the following week. The World's Greatest Farrier is ready to do his magic, and Dr. Blanton is eager to meet her newest patient. Here is a short video showing Sydney in his new place ...

I am loving the open-air stall setup. Is this style typical in California?

Val - since our weather is so moderate, yes, this mare-motel style is very typical. Often times the stalls are more like large paddocks with a roof on poles. We do have box stall barns, but those tend to be at pricey barns or private residences. And the box stalls will usually have attached runs. It's well over a 100 degrees here this week with low humidity so open air is much cooler for our horses. Comments are closed.
