Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
We're headed to the cabin this weekend so there won't be any posts until Sunday, but I thought I'd leave you with some photos of my not-so-favorite 5 things. In order, from least offensive all the way down to ugh, I HATE that job!, here are My 5 Things: ![]() I kid you not, this is my LEAST favorite job at the barn, and I don't even do it (anymore)! RM is completely in charge of filling and cleaning all four of the barn's water troughs. Every once in a while, mostly in the winter, I'll feel like I am chipping in by topping them off. Ask RM, the second these things need cleaning, I am outta there!
Have a great weekend!

I hate to tell you but it was 34 degrees here in SE WI this morning and we'll have a high of 55 today. I'd trade you the 100 degree days for a week of our below zero temps in January!

Sharon - five months of horrible become worth it February when I am riding in a long sleeve t-shirt and a fleece vest. I always wonder how on Earth horse people keep their horses fit and healthy in those extreme winter conditions. Our newspaper reports the national extremes each morning and Embarass, Minnesota frequently earns the honors with daily lows well, we'll below zero. Holy crap that's cold!

That's why I hate to coil the hose-clearly I need remedial help. I don't mind the cold and wet too bad (I am from Northern California). I only mind weather that makes riding hard. That would be 100 degrees, deep mud from the rain, and horizontal rain! We get a lot of that in the winter desert rides.
