Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
This is a completely local thing, so feel free to stop reading and hit this site or this one for some interesting reading.
Rancho Rio Stables, formerly known as Hack 'n Tack, is for sale. I've heard many people expressing their worry that the land might be purchased by the nearby church and turned into soccer fields. I haven't heard anyone in the know predict what might happen, but folks are pretty worried. RR is the largest (or second largest) boarding facility in town. If it were to be turned into something else, we would lose a lot of horse housing as well as a venue for shows. It's about the only affordable place to host a show. If you've got a little over half a mil sitting around, you might want to take a look at the place. Yeah, it's a bit rough around the edges and could use a coat of paint, but it's got great bones, great trail access, and the place is already pretty filled. Give the guys a call and see where it goes. I know a couple of hundred people who would be happy to see it remain a boarding facility!

I would actually love it, but I don't think the salary or benefits are very good!

The church is not buying the stable, so no worries there. According to the zoning it has to be a stable or return to nature.
