Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
After last year's scare, Pomona's Equine Affaire was cancelled, I was worried that my annual winter trip would be finished. Last year, Horse Expo stepped in and took over the January/February date, but I wasn't certain that it would be back. I am delighted to report that Horse Expo is on the calendar for January 31st - February 2nd 2013.
My long time Equine Affaire traveling partner hasn't done much horsey stuff in the last year. In all likelihood, she won't be interested in attending this year so I am on the search for a like-minded horsey friend who might want to go instead. I've got a few people in mind. To have the best time, traveling partners must love to hit the road early, be willing to come home late, LOVE to shop, love to check out seminars about stuff we've never heard of, love to eat weird food at odd hours, love to tote stuff back to the car, and finally, love all things equine. Interested?

It is a lot of fun, Angela, and the reason I like it is because it is a full day of horse stuff: clinics, demos, stuff to buy, and even live horses. What could be better?

Neither of the events, Horse Expo or Equine Affaire have much English stuff at all, much less specific to dressage, but I still love to go. I've been going for at least 12 years. I hope my riding pal still wants to go. I would hate to miss it.
