Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
Damn you, Black Friday! Sorry, I didn't mean that, I love you, I really, really do! But still. I did lie the other day when I said I was content with a bucket of vitamins and two pairs of socks. Anyone who is content with that as their big splurge is either stupid or lying, probably both. After placing my order for some not-so-disounted vitamins and two cheap pair of socks, I reasoned that I had been willing to spend around $150 on a new pair of boots, so why couldn't I spend that on a pair of breeches? I genuinely need some new breeches so it wasn't as though I would be wasting my money. None of the breeches at Riding Warehouse floated my (financial) boat, but Dover has been sending me lots of reminders that their BOGO deal is going strong. I have always had excellent luck with the Dover BOGOs because I tend to buy the same brands so I always know what I'm getting. I LOVE my Riding Sport full seat tech tights, but those were immediately sold out. Instead of those, I opted for the Wellesley full seats. I already have two pair of these, but they don't fit me anymore. Whose fault is that? I HATE having to upsize just because I like to eat, but it is what it is. The Wellesley isn't the trendiest pair of breeches out there - you have to do Halter Ego or Romfh for that, but they are still cute and very comfortable. Plus, they're priced conservatively enough that even the cashed strapped adult ammie can afford a second pair. The Dover BOGO deal is pretty easy to use. You buy two pair of their breeches (or tops), and you get the cheaper item at 50%. I love how Dover runs the deal, too. You click on the banner, and it shows you ALL eligible products. In this case, the deal applies to the Dover brand and Noble Equestrian. I do wish they would group all available colors of the Wellesley breeches on the same page though, but they don't. You have to scroll through to find all of the colors. The Navy/Papaya wasn't listed with the Charcoal/Iced Aqua. The best way to see all color choices is to simply do a search for the Wellesley Full seats and then click around to find the color combination you like. In the end, I spent the same amount on two pair of breeches that I was hoping to have spent on a new pair of boots. My birthday is coming up, and I sometimes get a little cash or a gift card, so maybe a pair of boots is waiting in my not-so-distant future. For now, I'll eagerly await the arrival of my new breeches.
Sorry I lied. Comments are closed.
