Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
Writing this blog is cathartic for me. It's a place for me to process life. Sometimes that means I write about stuff that makes me happy and other times I talk about what I am learning or trying to master. I rarely write about what upsets me because that seems to etch it more firmly in place. It's as though putting the ideas on paper, even cyber paper, gives them more weight. I don't want the crappy things in life to have any weight at all. I work very hard to avoid giving way to the unease or anxiety that worrying creates. But right now, the crappy things are all I can think about which is making it really difficult to write about the fun things that are going on. I have a few things on my plate that I need to deal with. They're not big issues, but even a bunch of mini scoops can lead to an over-sized portion. So while I sort a couple of things out, I need to hit the pause button on blogging. I am pretty sure I'll be back on Thursday with a few answers.
See you in a day or two.

Hope you get everything sorted! :) 3/8/2016 05:54:48 pm
Wow. Thanks, SarahO - kind words indeed. While I am not overtly religious, I do believe that when we listen to the Divine and let ourselves be guided, our path is made clear. It always works out in the end doesn't it?

I began endurance riding in 1996 where I ultimately completed five, one-day 100 mile races, the 200-mile Death Valley Encounter, and numerous other 50, 65, and 75 mile races. I began showing dressage in 2010. Welcome to my dressage journey. About Speedy GSpeedy went from endurance horse to dressage horse. After helping me earn a USDF Bronze medal in the summer of 2020, he is now semi-retired. Speedy is a 2004, 15'1 hand, purebred Arabian gelding. His Arabian Horse Registry name is G Ima Starr FA.
