Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
![]() My "stolen" gift! Quite a haul! Seriously. What could be better than that? Not much in my book. Sunday evening was JL's barn party. It's an annual affair and one that I was particularly excited about attending. It never occurred to me to doubt my invitation. That's how much fun JL and her students are. Everyone who rides with JL is fun loving and dedicated to riding well. No drama necessary. The party was held at the lovely home of one of JL's students. It was like most Christmas parties: everyone brought a dish to share, drinks were poured, laughter abounded, and a good time was had by all. Most of us left ten pounds heavier after eating the gargantuan pot pies provided by our hostess. Delicious! Like many holiday parties, we entertained ourselves with the traditional steal-a-gift exchange. These ladies didn't disappoint! Gifts were stolen, re-stolen, and shared around the room. JL herself ended up with the much sought after cordless clippers. Cha Ching's Mom had to choose a number of gifts as she was the victim of many robberies. I'll admit I even stole a gift from her! It's pictured to the right. I hope you're having an enjoyable party season and that it includes your barn pals! We sure had a great time.
