Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
This video was shot ten days after the Fluphenazine dose. We have lots of work left to do, but man, oh, man is he getting quieter and quieter. Much of it has to do with me taking control, but I think I am able to do that because of his less anxious frame of mind. Have a look. So jealous of that massive sand arena. Sydney's looking goooood ... and I like how it looks like there's several horses working in the arena (one disappears off the left of the screen and immediately another appears on the right! Magic!) - though don't think I don't appreciate the nothing bits being cut out ;).

Kelly - I think we were OFF camera more than on. It's hard when the tripod won't follow the rider! I know the editing makes it look weird, but I certainly wouldn't want to watch 30 seconds of empty sand either.

Sydney has a very nice canter! I love the little exhale that he does with each stride. Those are nice relaxed sounds.

Thank you, Val. As you know, it's hard to share your downs and point out your own inadequacies. (I have a blog post coming this week about that very topic.) And as you also know, putting up videos of yourself riding opens the door for all kinds of unfriendly comments. I can see all of the errors, thank you very much. What's nice is when our friends ignore what we can see for ourselves, and instead, point out our good moments which we often can't see for ourselves! :0) Comments are closed.
