Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
With any luck this might be the shortest series ever. On Friday, Sydney's demon reared it's ugly head. On Saturday, it returned, but it had lost a little oomph. On Sunday, it was nowhere in sight. I am not that good of a rider so what happened?
If keeping Sydney in the conversation was all that it took, I'll take it and be happy, no further explanation needed. I think the proof will be in the pudding, or maybe the beet pulp mash as it were. We'll see how he behaves when asked to work in the late afternoon. Those 4:30 p.m. rides tend to bring out his worst. I already told JL that he won't be going to tonight's lesson. Working on his demon is something that I'll need to do alone. Once I am certain he can consistently handle the shortened rein work, I'll bring him. So for tonight, Speedy is up. I'll keep you posted.
