Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
The blogosphere is rapidly filling up with posts about gift ideas for the holidays. I'm not writing a gift suggestion post as there are many good ones out there already. This is my own personal Gee, Santa, I think I've been really good this year list. I am pretty sure that I did what I was supposed to do this year so I have dutifully filled out my wish list and sent it off to the big guy. Which really means I printed an on-line shopping cart and gave it to Hubby. He's remarkably good at picking out the equine stuff I like. And since he hates to buy jewelry and prefers to buy fun and practical stuff, I'd say my list should satisfy him. Here's what was on it ... ![]() The Steffen Peters Dressage Show Pad - This pad is available from Dover for $47.90. It comes in black or white. I am asking for black. This is for Sydney. ![]() I need some new pull on bell boots, and these seemed like they would do the trick. These are also from Dover and sell for $10.90 a pair - I asked for two pair. Since these would be for Sydney, Large please. Color doesn't matter. ![]() Again, from Dover, this is the Kerrits Ventilator Pocket Short Sleeve Shirt. Both of my show shirts are just okay. One is a bit small, and the other is plain old cotton which gets wet under my show coat. This shirt comes in several colors, but for showing, I need a white one. Medium please. It currently sells for $39.90. ![]() The Horseware Kittson Technical Softshell Jacket, available at Smartpak for $92.95, is a bit pricey, but my birthday is also coming up soon. I like this jacket because it is both lightweight and waterproof. Perfect for California's mild winters. Medium please. I don't think my list is out of control or on the wild side. Practical and functional, yes. Extravagant, no. Horse people tend to be very similar so I am guessing that most of you have already provided your "Santa" with a list that looks a lot like mine. So, how 'bout it? Anyone out there with a similar list?
My list also includes tons of horse stuff, but of most of the items are things I have to continue purchasing. 12/6/2011 10:14:59 am
Ooh, Erica, I LOVE your list! You can never have too much of any of that. Here's hoping Santa delivers! Comments are closed.
