From Endurance to Dressage
I picked up Izzy's new toy on Friday afternoon.
We had torrential rain the night before so his stall was a muddy mess. I quickly realized that a rolling toy was not going to be much fun if it was stuck in the goop. Ultimately, it turned out to be a much better idea to introduce Izzy to the barrel in the arena anyway. He ended up with a lot more room to play.
He didn't love it the way he loved his big ball, but I think he will get a lot more use out it of than a ball that pops.
He needs a bit more time with the barrel. Even though he liked it, it didn't do quite what he wanted. Once he gets the hang of it, I am certain he'll be chasing after it in no time. Since his paddock still has a lake in it, I'll keep the barrel in the arena and give him time over the next few days to play with it in there.
I am pretty sure this toy is going to last a while. Let's hope it keeps his interest!

Welcome to my dressage journey.
