Not-So-Speedy Dressage
From Endurance to Dressage
![]() Beautiful Wine Glasses! Can I just say, WOW! That was the most fun I have had at a show. I can not wait until next year. It wasn't like we had stellar scores or anything, it was just that there was such a friendly and affable vibe that it made the whole thing so welcoming. The Fresno CDS chapter must be filled with some pretty cool people. A little about the show: normally this is a one-day show with a follow-up in October. This year the group decided to turn it into a two-day show as a benefit for two local horse rescue groups. All proceeds will benefit the SPCA and a second group, Buddy something or other. Sorry I didn't catch their name. The fund raisers included a silent and live auction (I bid on a lovely Stubben bridle, but lost), a BBQ, t-shirt sales (I bought one), and wine glasses. When you "bought" a glass, you got to keep filling it. Let's just say mine didn't go empty until well past bedtime! Here's a slightly unflattering photo from Saturday's evening activities. I'm the one in the pink visor socializing with some newly made friends. Everything about the show went well. The arenas were lovely, the covered warm up was great, Speedy's stall was very nice, and my camping spot was perfect! I did buy a photo shoot from Nicholas K Photography, but his photos won't be here for a while. When they arrive, I'll post some if they aren't too atrocious! Here are some photos of the grounds.
