and on a Saturday ... not so common for single day dressage shows. Anyhoo, we're showing Training Level Test 2 and Test 3 early this morning. Sadly, the show is really tiny, like 5 riders tiny. It's a CDS/USDF/USEF rated show which means there are certainly some expenses that probably aren't going to be met. I am bummed that a city of our size (over 350,000) can't get more than 5 people out to ride in a dressage show ...

This show is hosted by the Golden Empire Arabian Horse Society, but it is open to all breeds. For any local people who are interested in seeing some dressage this morning, the show is being held at Rancho Rio Stables just off Manor Drive. You'd better hurry though as it's only a two hour show!

About Speedy GSpeedy went from endurance horse to dressage horse. After helping me earn a USDF Bronze medal in the summer of 2020, he is now semi-retired. Speedy is a 2004, 15'1 hand, purebred Arabian gelding. His Arabian Horse Registry name is G Ima Starr FA.

About IzzyIzzy was started as a four-year old and then spent the next 18 months in pasture growing up. I bought him as a six-year old, and together, we are showing at Second Level. He is a 2008, 16'3 hand warmblood gelding. His Rheinland Pfalz-saar International (RPSI) name is Imperioso.
